May 2008: SMDI Majors, Minors help preserve Bonaire National Marine Sanctuary through recovery of portions of damaged dock and twenty tires from top photo dive site in the world

April 2008: Barry University’s SMDI Program “Buddies Up” with the International Association of Handicapped Divers to Teach Iraq War Veterans to Dive

December 2007: SMDI Majors and Minors team up with International Association of Handicapped Divers to introduce Wounded Iraq War Veterans to SCUBA Diving.
