Freediving Study in the Red Sea

On September 3rd, 2009 Sport Management – Diving Industry Instructor Brett Scaglione began a week long study on Chronic Hypoxia in Freedivers in the South Red Sea. While there, he also looked at the hydration demands placed on the body while participating in a physically demanding activity in an arid environment.

The study was organized in collaboration with Martin Stepanek, the current world record holder in depth and founder of Freediving Instructors International, a freediving educational organization focused on the safe practice of freediving.
