BUCkids Summer Camp

Dear parents,

Welcome to another year of the BUCkids Recreational Summer camp program offered at Barry University!  Our camp features structured physical activities, arts & crafts, computer time, dance, instructional and recreational swim time, and special field trips.  We also include an academic component: we offer grade appropriate instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics, and we offer instructional swimming! New to the program are our community service projects and our character building initiatives. We feel that children deserve a well-rounded program that focuses on different areas of exploration for their young minds and bodies.

BUCkids Summer camp endeavors to provide a nurturing environment for children. A supervised, positive environment with controlled boundaries helps kids grow. This camp provides physical and emotional safety nets through activity in a learning atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement.  We have taken the time to recruit an excellent staff of counselors who will escort your children around campus. We will follow the “Fitness For Kids” model, so your child will stay active and learn about physical fitness. Our instructors follow the Florida Sunshine State standards, and ALL staff members are fingerprinted, screened with background checks, and come to us with appropriate experience, insuring that your child has a safe and rewarding camp experience.

We are excited about having your children spend their summer with us.  You’ll find that our prices are very competitive.  We will serve children from the ages of 5-13, and they will be grouped accordingly. BUCkids camp will run from 6/14 to 8/6 with excellent operating hours: 8am-6:00pm. This camp provides an environment geared especially for kids, encouraging them to learn, move, recreate, and meet new people.
