Open Recreation 
The Department of Campus Recreation & Wellness

HSC's Main Court HSC's Main Court - Superb hardwood floor accommodates basketball, volleyball, and badminton among other indoor sports. A number of intramural sports are held here, and it also serves as the host site for our varsity basketball and volleyball teams. 
Landon Fitness Center - This state of the art facility features modern Cybex cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, and recumbent and upright bikes. In addition, it is equipped with a full line of Cybex plate-loaded resistance training machines, and a full gamut of free weights, including squat/power racks and Smith machines. Available for students, faculty and staff is also personal training, fitness assessments, and group exercise classes. Please review the policies before entering the facility. Tennis Center Tennis Center - This lighted, outdoor facility houses six 3-wall racquetball courts, six well-surfaced tennis courts, and two full courts for basketball. Located just north of the Health and Sports Center (HSC), this facility is the home site for both our men's and women's tennis teams. Tennis instruction is available through our ISR program. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
Multipurpose Fields Multipurpose Fields - Our lush, green field space consists of one full-sized recreation field and our athletic fields. All intramural field sports are held on the rec. field or the softball field, and all fields are lighted! Varsity teams that regularly use these fields are our soccer teams, baseball, and fast-pitch softball. Special events and club practices are sometimes held out here as well. Thompson Hall Studio Thompson Hall Studio - This multipurpose facility is a mirrored showroom for ISR instruction, wellness activities, physical education courses, and dance programs. This facility is exclusively used for these activities and is rigorously maintained to ensure a clean and professional appearance. Penafort Pool Penafort Pool - This recreational pool is available to University members yearlong. An ample terrace area serves as leisure space to lie out, catch some sun, and socialize. Some popular student activities are held at the pool as well as recreational gatherings. SCUBA classes, ISR instruction, and aquatic wellness offerings also use the pool. Contact Sharon Kegeles (skegeles@mail.barry.edu ) at 305-899-3499 for more information.
Weber Game Room Weber Game Room - Located in Weber Hall, this open-spaced game room serves as a leisure area for students to unwind and relax. Featured is the giant 60" TV, pool tables, football, air hockey, checker / chess tables, and other sit-down favorites.
Sand Volleyball Pit Sand Volleyball Pit - This is the premiere site for some competitive and recreational beach volleyball. The court is usually open all hours of the day and is located just east of the pool. Sign up for our intramural league in the fall or play pick up any time.
