Edward Londono , MS

Ed Londono is the director of Campus Recreation and wellness. He was hired in July of 1995 after having worked as the recreation director at Florida International University. Londono has worked in the field of recreation since 1991, and has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (FIU 1990) and a master's degree in Sport Management-Physical Education (FIU 1995). Londono is also a:

  • Member of National Intramural and Recreational Sport Association (NIRSA) since 1992.
  • Member of the National Wellness Association (NWA) since 1999.
  • Committee member of the Wellness Initiative Network (WIN) since 1998.
  • President of the South Florida Recreation Association (SFRA); member since 2001
  • Certified official for softball, basketball, and flag football.
  • Certified Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Basic Instructor (2000) and Advanced Instructor (2008).
  • On the Quality Improvement Program (QIP) Advisory task Force.

Dan Hill holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Barry University (1995) and a Master of Science in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University (2001). Previous work experience includes the NFL, AFL, Division 1 & IAA College, private health clubs, hospitals, sports medicine clinics, High School, and Middle School. Dan is also a retired Staff Sgt. of 8 years with the U.S. Army Reserve Military Police Division. Dan also holds certification as a:

  • Certified Athletic Trainer- NATA
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist- NSCA
  • Certified Personal Trainer- NASM & ACE
  • Certified Youth Sport Coach- NAYS
  • Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer Instructor- AHA
  • Heartsaver First Aid Instructor- AHA
  • Emergency Response Instructor- ARC

Catalina Franco-Cicero has an associate's degree in Physical Education from Miami-Dade College, a bachelor's degree in Physical Education (1997), Master's Degree in Sport Management (2004), and is now pursing her Doctoral Degree in Higher Education and Leadership from Barry University. She is the owner of the Fitness for Kids program in Broward County.
Catalina is also certified in:

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Florida Certified Physical Education Teacher K-8
  • Pilates Certified
  • 11 years of teaching experience
  • 18 years of group exercise teaching experience.
  • Member of American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD)
