Mission

The mission of the Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology program is to provide a quality graduate education experience with emphasis on understanding and analyzing the psychological mechanisms and consequences of human movement in sport, physical education, and exercise contexts. You will be prepared for a variety of career opportunities including teaching, coaching, research, fitness leadership, and consulting with emphasis on psychological principles. The program will provide opportunities for you to make professional contributions to the community through research projects, practicum, and attendance at professional symposia.
