Dr. Jean McAtavey joined Barry in 2008. She holds a PhD in Global Corporate Leadership from Lynn University, a Master's in Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor's in Education from Boston College. Dr. McAtavey has a strong commitment to education. She is currently the principal investigator for The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED).

Her work in career development and executive coaching has been featured on WPTV’s Channel 5/ Power Profile, as well as in the Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel newspapers. She has published several articles on women entrepreneurs, doctoral studies, mentoring, coaching and succession planning. She provides training in the areas of career development, leadership, diversity, group dynamics, and effective business communication. Individual and corporate clients have come from companies large and small including FedEx, Levenger, Career Concepts, The School District of Palm Beach County, Citrix Systems, Inc., National Healing Corporation, Motorola, and BellSouth.
