Barry University to Host a 5k/8k Nun Run Through Main Campus and Miami Shores
(MIAMI, FL) The Barry University Nun Run will take place on Saturday, February 15th. In honor of Barry’s founders, the Adrian Dominican Sisters, runners are encouraged to wear a nun’s habit. The race keeps with the Barry University 2019-2020 theme “Transforming Lives for a Greater Tomorrow” by promoting wellness both on campus and in the community. The event is certified in accordance with USA Track & Field and the race is open to participants of all ages and ability, with families welcomed.
All Nun Run participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt, finisher medal, hydration drinks, and snacks. Runners are encouraged to stay after the race for Barry University’s FamFest. It will feature free beer (ages 21 and up), food, a KidZone, music, live entertainment, and fun for the entire family. Admission to FamFest is free for race participants.
