PART TIME EVENING PROGRAM
Barry Law offers a Part Time Evening Program for individuals who work or are otherwise unable to attend during the day. The parameters for admission to this program are consistent with the Full Time Day program.
In the Part Time Evening program, students attend classes Monday through Thursday evenings (5:45PM to 9:45PM timeframe) during the first academic year following a course schedule designed by the Registrar. Generally, the course load during the first academic year, based on the available courses, is approximately 9 to 11 credits. After the first year, students may plan their own schedules and may take as few as 8 credits or as many as 12 credits in part time. Part Time Evening students complete the program in 4 years typically, including summer courses. Scholarships are offered for both full time and part time programs. Barry Law does not offer a weekend JD program.
Students who begin their studies in the Part Time Evening Program but desire to change to the Full Time Day program are required to complete the first academic year before switching programs and subject to space availability in Full Time.
To apply for the Part Time Evening Program, applicants may simply check the Part Time option on the electronic application. Should an applicant change his mind and decide to apply for the Full Time Day program, he may email the admissions office at krupert@mail.barry.edu<mailto:krupert@mail.barry.edu>.
