Enrollment Requirement

For Federal Financial Aid, the full time status at Barry is considered to be 13-16 credit hours and part time enrollment 8-12 credit hours.  Students must register for 8 credit hours in the Fall or Spring unless graduating.  Federal loans may be processed for 6-7 credit hours in the graduating term with an appropriate appeal form filed with the financial aid office.   For Veteran Administration benefits, students who are enrolled for 9 or more credit hours in a term are considered to be enrolled full-time. Those enrolled for 5 credit hours are considered part-time.

Summer enrollment must be at least 4 credit hours to be eligible for financial assistance. The maximum number of credit hours allowed in the summer term is 8 credit hours unless a variance is granted.
