Barry Boot Camp

Barry University School of Law is offering Barry Boot Camp, a series of FREE intensive LSAT supplemental preparation workshops designed to assist you in preparing for the LSAT exam. Barry Boot Camp is for individuals seeking admission to law school this upcoming Fall (August) of 2018.

The workshops will be held at the law school in *Orlando, FL, over the course of several weekends (see important dates below) leading up to the June LSAT administration. This session of boot camp will also serve as the boot camp for the July LSAT administration.

*These workshops are only available on the law school campus and will not be available via online transmission or recording.

Requirements To Participate In Barry Boot Camp:

  1. Review the Directions to Apply.
  2. Have an application for admission to Barry Law for Fall 2018* on file prior to attending the Boot Camp. Please contact ambassador@law.barry.edu for more information.
  3. Submit a one-page essay expressing interest in Barry Boot Camp. Answer the following questions in your essay:
    • Have you previously taken the LSAT? Yes or No
      • If yes, please indicate the highest score.
    • How many hours a week are you dedicating to studying?
    • How long have you been studying for the LSAT?
    • What are you doing to prepare for the LSAT outside of attending this Boot Camp?
    • Are you taking or are you planning to take any other 3rd party test prep programs?
    • Have you purchased supplemental study materials, and if so, which ones?
    • Can you commit to attending all of the scheduled Boot Camp dates?
    • What do you hope to gain out of participating in this Boot Camp?
    • If admitted to Barry, do you plan on attending?
  4. Have a completed diagnostic exam on file, which you receive once your application and essay are completed.

Directions To Apply:

  1. Fill out the interest form through this link: Barry Law Boot Camp RSVP
  2. Submit your application for admission to Barry Law through the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) at www.lsac.org. There is no application fee.
  3. Email your required essay to ambassador@law.barry.edu with "Barry Boot Camp" in the subject line. Please make sure to include your full name, preferred email address and phone number.
  4. All documents must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 18, 2018.
  5. Upon receipt of your essay and application, a diagnostic exam will be emailed to you with a deadline date and time for submission.
  6. Your application will be considered complete once we receive:
    • Barry Law School Application
    • Essay
    • Completed Diagnostic Exam

Important Dates:

  • Deadline to apply: April 18, 2018
  • Boot Camp Workshop Dates and Times: April 28; May 5, 12, 19, 26 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
  • LSAT Exam: June 11, 2018 and July 23, 2018**

Future Boot Camp Opportunities:

Following the June and July LSAT administrations, the next scheduled exam is September 8, 2018. We have tentatively planned a future Barry Boot Camp for the exam with the following prospective Dates and Times:

July 28; August 4, 11, 18, 25 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.)*. The results of the September LSAT exam would be considered for Spring 2019 and Fall 2019 applicants.

**The release date for the July 2018 LSAT scores has not been determined. Consideration for Fall 2018 is dependent on the release date of those scores.
