Bio

Before coming to Barry University, Professor Bittakis was the Lead Staff Attorney for the Civil and Domestic Divisions of Florida's Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. In addition to assisting the judges in preparing orders and rulings, Professor Bittakis supervised the staff attorneys in her divisions. She also managed the appellate cases filed in Orange County, Florida, and was the staff attorney for the first Business Court established in Florida. Prior to working as a staff attorney, Professor Bittakis practiced civil litigation with de Beaubien, Knight, Simmons, Mantzaris & Neal, LLP, litigating matters such as commercial disputes and discrimination cases. Professor Bittakis is a member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association.
