For Federal Financial Aid, the full time status at Barry is considered to be 13-16 credit hours and part time enrollment 8-12 credit hours. Students must register for 8 credit hours in the Fall or Spring unless graduating. Federal loans may be processed for 6-7 credit hours in the graduating term with an appropriate appeal form filed with the financial aid office. For Veteran Administration benefits, students who are enrolled for 12 or more credit hours in a term are considered to be enrolled full-time. Those enrolled for 6 credit hours are considered part-time.
Summer enrollment must be at least 6 credit hours to be eligible for financial assistance. The maximum number of credit hours allowed in the summer term is 8 credit hours unless a variance is granted.
