Individual Research Assistance
Need to know more about the
library?
Unsure how to start searching a database?
Want better results in less time?
Barry University students, faculty, and staff
members can make an appointment with a reference librarian who will
assist you if you have questions about how to conduct research using
the library’s print and online
resources. Topics include (but are not limited to):
- General Research
- Library Orientation
- Database Searching
- Subject-specific research (Business, Education, Social Work,
Nursing, etc.)
- Using BLISSWeb
To make an appointment please download and fill out the Library Research Assistance Request form and
drop it off at the Reference Desk.
The intent of individual library instruction
is to teach patrons how to use the library and its resources. Librarians
are prohibited from doing patrons’ research and/or school-specific
assignments.
