Commitment to Service

Barry University Associate Professor Andrea Rosenblatt was awarded the International Reading Association’s (IRA) Maryann Manning Outstanding Volunteer Service Award.

The IRA presented the award in May at its 53rd Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.

The award is handed out annually to four dedicated volunteers who have made a lifelong commitment to a local, state or provincial IRA council within North America. Rosenblatt, who teaches in the Adrian Dominican School of Education, has been an associate professor in the Reading and Literacy program for the past 11 years, teaching undergraduate and graduate reading courses.
