Men’s Soccer Rookie Earns SSC Freshman of the Year

Freshman forward Mark Anderson was named the Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year after leading the nation in assists per game.

Anderson made an immediate impact in his debut season at Barry, tallying 33 points – ranking him fifth in the SCC. His 11 goals tied for sixth overall in the conference, while he ranked fifth in goals per game with an average of 0.85 goals per game. A native of Durham, England, Anderson set a Barry freshman record with 33 points, tying Alen Marcina’s mark of 11 goals and topping his 10 assists by one.
