School of Business professor wins Volunteer of the Year award

School of Business professor Selima Ben Mrad was presented with the Volunteer of the Year award by the Lycée Franco-Américain International, an elementary school in Cooper City.

Ben Mrad’s graduate class titled Consumer Behavior (MBA 643) created a marketing plan for the school that included development of a new branding and advertising strategy for recruitment as well as offering consulting for price management perception issues. The work was done through the use of interviews and surveys and provided suggestions based on these.

The professor’s undergraduate International Marketing class (MKT 466) also headed a D-Day presentation at the Lycée Franco-Américain International School where the students developed a website, came up with a sponsorship list for the event, and took on the logistical and operational needs of the presentation on the World War II D-Day invasion of Normandy, France.
