MARC U*STAR

The MARC U*STAR Program was created by the National Institutes of Health-National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to increase the number of biomedical and behavioral scientists particularly from underrepresented groups. The biomedical and behavioral sciences include Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics and Computer Science. A key objective of the MARC Program is the successful preparation of these students for PhD programs in biomedical sciences.

As part of our commitment to preparing our students for excellence, the MARC program at Barry offers our trainees unique opportunities including research on campus with faculty, summer research internships, GRE preparation, publication of their research findings in scientific journals, experience in making professional presentations at national and international scientific meetings, graduate school preparation.
