MBA Specializations
The School of Business offers six different specializations within the MBA program:

*This specialization requires 39 credit hours.
MBA Core Courses
The program’s core curriculum is designed to maximize your understanding of the different business disciplines. The nine core business courses (27 credits) that all MBA students must complete are listed below:

General MBA
The General MBA provides you with an opportunity to customize your degree by choosing cross-discipline business electives. To earn the General MBA, you will be able to choose any three business elective courses (students must fulfill pre-requisites for certain elective courses) in addition to completing the MBA core courses (27 credit-hours).
Accounting
For the Accounting specialization, you will need to complete all of the MBA core courses (except for Managerial Accounting), in addition to all of the courses provided below.- MSA 660 Contemporary Accounting Theory & Research

- MSA 668 Not-for-profit and Government Accounting
Finance
For the Finance specialization, you will need to complete all of the MBA core courses and choose three electives (9 credits) from the list provided below:- MBA 612 International Finance
- MBA 622 Investment Analysis
- MBA 624 Financial Markets and Institutions
- MBA 628 Advanced Topics in Financial Management
Health Services Administration
For the Health Service Administration specialization, you will need to complete all of the MBA core courses and choose three electives (9 credits) from the list provided below:- HSA 530 Health Law, Ethics and Social Issues
- HSA 540 Performance Improvement & Quality Assurance
- HSA 610 Financing and Delivery of Health Care Services
- HSA 620 Health Care Budgeting and Financial Management
International Business
For the International Business specialization, you will need to complete all of the MBA core courses in addition to all of the electives (12 credits) from the list provided below:- MBA 612 International Finance

- MBA 700 Independent Study (Must be approved by advisor in advance)
Management
For the Management specialization, you will need to complete all of the MBA core courses and choose three electives (9 credits) from the list provided below:- MBA 601 Human Resource Management
