GMAT Information
To help ensure your success in Barry's MBA program, we strongly encourage all applicants to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). We use a portfolio approach to determine admission. Our admission requirements are designed to access your potential for success in graduate business studies. One predictor of achievement is a satisfactory score on the Graduate Management Aptitude Test, better known as the GMAT.
What is the GMAT? The GMAT is a basic aptitude
examination; it does not require previous knowledge of business
subjects. It is offered multiple times annually throughout the United
States as well as internationally.
Want to do your best? Preparation for the GMAT
exam can help you achieve higher scores. To make your preparation
as easy as possible, we offer a GMAT
Prep course every term. If taking the prep course at Barry is
not convenient for you, you can take a prep class through other
venues.
How do you get an application? You can register
online at www.mba.com
or call 1-800-GMAT NOW. You can also request an application from
the Barry Graduate Admissions Offices or contact the Educational
Testing Service, Princeton, N.J. 08541. Please be sure to plan ahead
and schedule a timely GMAT exam date as the availability of seats
for the desirable dates is limited.
Have you taken the GRE, MCAT or LSAT? If you have
taken the GRE, MCAT, or LSAT within the last five years, you may
petition the Director of Graduate Business Programs to have those
scores considered instead of the GMAT. (Please note: If you are
an international student and cannot exhibit proficiency in the English
language, you will need to submit a TOEFL score of at least 550
(213 – computer-based exam) in addition to an acceptable GMAT
score.)
Don’t delay! Seats
for exams on desirable dates are limited, so we strongly encourage
you to plan ahead and schedule a GMAT exam date.
