The 2020 Dean’s Award for the Andreas School of Business goes to Stefano Cammarota!

Stefano Cammarota has had an impressive journey at Barry University. He’s been a team captain on our soccer team while also maintaining a 3.9 GPA, with a double major in Management and International Business. Stefano has received many recognitions during his time at Barry. As a notable example, he received the Elite90 — an award given to the student athlete with the highest cumulative GPA who has reached the finals for the NCAA’s championships. He also contributed to our soccer team winning the national championship in 2018.

Native of Italy, Stefano says his experience at Barry has been truly transformational: “Living far from home in a cross-cultural environment, my time at Barry has helped me redefine my life and career objectives, and I became more aware of all the growth opportunities available for me during my studies at Barry.”

Today, Stefano graduates with a bright future ahead of him. He currently speaks three languages, and his numerous experiences include: SMIF (Student Managed Investment Fund), Barry Consulting Group, SAAC, a committee made of student-athletes to provide insight on the student-athlete experience), and his internship at Amazon as a Campus Ambassador; all of which have well-prepared him for the next steps in his journey. After graduation, Stefano wishes to join an international management consulting group, and help Italian companies thrive in the U.S. market.

Stefano wants to share this special moment and award with his family, who has shown him the importance of hard work, and to say that he appreciates all the sacrifices they have made to make his experience at Barry possible.
