About the RISE Program
Biology and chemistry majors with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out biomedical hands-on research enter this two or three year program as sophomores or juniors. Individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups are encouraged to apply. The program consists of:

At this time the program provides 12 hours/week for on-campus research during the 15 weeks fall and spring semesters; up to 40hours/week for on-campus research for two weeks during the winter break; a $1,500 annual allowance for research supplies, and travel allowance for students to attend and present their research at scientific meetings. Students are compensated at $10.00/hour for the student development activities. |
