Master’s Degree in Medical Biotechnology in South Florida
The Professional Science Master’s (PSM) degree in Medical Biotechnology combines graduate level science study with advanced business learning. This graduate degree program is for individuals with a bachelor's degree in the biomedical sciences who wish to advance their science and laboratory skills, specifically in biotechnology, but also want the business skills usually taught through an MBA program. The course may be completed in 12 - 18 months.
Since advanced cross-training between science and business occurs, students will take courses from both the College of Health Sciences and the School of Business. Business courses focus on the foundation of professional skills, such as marketing, management, and entrepreneurship, giving students greater employment opportunity in the biotech field. Because of the interdisciplinary aspect of the PSM degree, students feel they are earning both a biotechnology and business graduate degree.
