Barry University's School of Podiatric Medicine hosts mini-seminar on Bioterrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness
Dr. Leonard Levy spoke on Bioterrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness Sept. 11 at Barry University's Miami Shores campus. The event, hosted by the Office of Continuing Medical Education at BU's Division of Medicine, is the first in a series of three-credit mini-seminars scheduled throughout the fall. A five-hour, 5-credit Florida Required License Renewal Course will also be offered on Oct. 20, 2007.
Dr. Levy is the director of the Center for Bioterrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Other topics covered during the seminar include Psychosocial Issues/Vulnerable Populations, Personal Plan, CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives) and Pandemic Influenza. This program is supported in part by a grant to Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.
