Barry CARES

Barry CARES is a university-wide initiative designed to promote a civil and respectful campus culture. Its purpose is to integrate Barry's mission into the life of our institution through programming and a continuous process to engage students, faculty, and staff in the implementation of a shared set of service principles. The initiative supports collaboration among all constituencies at the University to create a culture of service excellence.

The Principles of Service: Lead the Way, Look for the Best Solution, Work as a Team, Enhance Productive Communication, and Demonstrate Professionalism give us the framework for collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.

The Barry CARES Feedback System fosters communication by providing a venue for students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, alumni, and community members to send their feedback and tell us what we are doing well and what we can do better. This feedback helps us transform the Barry university experience by celebrating and building on the things that we are doing well and by identifying opportunities for improvement that are student centered.

The Thank You for Caring Message Board is a place for students, faculty, and staff to publicly recognize a faculty or staff member for their service excellence.
