Mission Orientation Programs
As a mission-driven institution, Barry University ensures that all new students, faculty, staff, senior leadership, and trustees receive a thorough introduction to the university's history, mission, core commitment and strategic priorities. The Office of Mission Engagement partners with other key offices to coordinate this important effort.
New Faculty and Staff Orientation
The Office of Mission Engagement hosts the morning portion of this monthly program where Barry's mission, history, strategic priorities, and service expectations are discussed with our new faculty and staff. These new members of the Barry community are introduced to the governing structure of the University in a fun, interactive, and team-oriented format. The afternoon is hosted by the Human Resources Department, which covers employee benefits and important university policies and procedures.
Student Mission Presentations
Student presentations on mission are given at the request from specific departments. Each year, the Office of Mission Engagement presents to graduate students in the School of Nursing, Cardiovascular Perfusion students, and many others. Resident Assistants and Orientation Leaders are also given presentation on the mission and history during their summer training by the Office of Mission Engagement in collaboration with the Office of Campus Ministry.
