Dr.
Ann L. Gibson, Assistant Professor, Exercise Science
Dr.
Gibson holds advanced degrees (MS, Ph.D.) in Exercise Physiology
from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Her primary research
interest areas include body composition, gender differences in performance
and responses to exercise, physical activity and aging, and physiological
responses to altitude. Dr. Gibson is published in the areas of body
composition, cardiovascular responses to exercise at high altitude,
and physiologic response to walking with leg-length discrepancies.
She has also made professional presentations in the first two of
these publication areas at regional and national meetings of the
American College of Sports Medicine. In addition to being a member
of ACSM, Dr. Gibson is a member of the American Society of Exercise
Physiologists.
