Dr.
Constance Mier, Associate Professor, Coordinator, Exercise Science
Dr.
Mier is the supervisor of the Human Performance Laboratory. She
earned her MS from the University of Arizona and her Ph.D. from
the University of Texas at Austin. She completed a postdoctoral
fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine where
her primary research involved cardiovascular adaptations to exercise
training, and aging and cardiovascular disease.
She recently completed a research project investigating the effects
of exercise training on SCUBA diving performance. Her present research
interests include investigating the role of physical activity in
the fitness and health of prepubescent children. She has published
several research papers and has presented at both the regional and
national level.
Dr. Mier is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning
Association and is a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine.
