You will learn how to collect and analyze data from the Performance Behavior Laboratory, the Human Performance Laboratory, and the Biomechanics Laboratory. These three laboratories are housed in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences and allow students to conduct cross-disciplinary research. Hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art laboratories will enable you to gain the skills necessary to correctly apply selected quantitative movement analysis techniques to sport and exercise activities.
Performance Behavior Lab
The Performance Behavior Laboratory (PBL) is housed in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Barry University. This laboratory is equipped with a state-of-the-art hardware and software that provides you with quality research and service opportunities. The equipment allows for research opportunities with a variety of psychophysiological recordings including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Related Potentials (ERP), Electromyography (EMG), Heart Rate (HR), Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), Respiration Breathing (RB), and Skin Temperature (ST).
