Even in a fast-paced high tech world, Barry University's flexible learning MSIT program prides itself in providing each student with the highest standards of breakthrough technology combined with innovative teaching. It's a winning combination for academic success and career growth.
The Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) curriculum is comprised of courses that are carefully matched to industry demands and are in line with computing evolution and technological innovation. The courses are delivered in an innovative learning environment that gives students the flexibility to be in the classroom or access the lectures online through live multimedia conferencing. This will preserve tradition for students who prefer and enjoy in-class interaction while allowing distant students to seek the degree completely online without compromising the benefits of a traditional setting.
The MSIT student population is comprised of broad range of learners who either want the experience of traditional education or need the convenience of online learning. Students currently in the Barry University MSIT Program include many types of traditional and non-traditional students, including professionals, entrepreneurs, frequent business travelers, single parents, retirees, educators, and active members of the United States armed forces.
Classes are scheduled on Saturdays (mornings, 10am-2pm, and afternoons, 2:30pm-6:30pm) and weekday evenings (6pm-10pm) where students may attend meetings face-to-face or online using state-of-the-art multimedia technologies. These technologies facilitates student-student and instructor-student interaction in real-time without forcing all students to commute to the classroom. This will also promote spontaneous class discussions and peer interaction and help build a futuristic learning community.
