When to Purchase a Dell
The latest you should wait to purchase your laptop is four weeks prior to the beginning of classes. Once a laptop is ordered through Dell's site, you can expect to receive it two weeks afterwards.
Financing Options
Because a notebook/computer is a requirement for the nursing program, monies spent to purchase the system are eligible for reimbursement with financial aid dollars, should you be receiving any. For further information on financial aid, please contact a financial aid counselor in the Division of Enrollment Management at 305-899-3673.
You will need to plan to purchase your system in advance of receiving your financial aid. Therefore, you have two options: apply for a Dell Preferred Account to receive financing or use an existing personal credit card. The Dell Preferred Account is approval based on an individual basis, based upon credit scores. To learn more about the Dell Preferred Account visit their site and select the Dell Financing under the Purchase Help section of the top menu.
