RN with Non-nursing BS/BA (MSN Bridge Option)

If you are an RN with a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing and meet the necessary criteria, this option allows you to move more quickly into advanced nursing practice. This degree program is specifically designed to prepare qualified nurses to earn the MSN without first earning the BSN. If you are accepted into the Bridge option, you may be required to complete two undergraduate courses prior to taking the graduate courses. Upon successful completion of those courses, you will be able to matriculate directly into the MSN program.

Courses

All students may be required to take NUR 301 - Nursing Research if their undergraduate BS program did not include a course deemed comparable by the Associate Dean for Graduate Education.

Nurse practitioner and nurse education majors must take NUR 483 - Health Assessment.
