Advanced Standing

If you earned your Bachelor of Social Work from an accredited institution within the last five years, Barry's Advanced Standing Program is the right choice for you! Your grade point average must be a minimum of 3.0 GPA and you must meet all other admission requirements.

Full-time Advanced Standing Program (Miami Shores Campus)

You can earn your Master of Social Work (MSW) in two semesters through our full-time Advanced Standing Program. This 32-credit program is offered at our conveniently located Miami Shores Campus. You have the option of beginning the program in the fall, spring, or summer semester.

Part-time Advanced Standing Program (Miami Shores Campus or Palm Beach / Treasure Coast Site)

The part-time Advanced Standing Program is offered in Miami Shores and Palm Beach/Treasure Coast. This 32-credit hour program can be completed in one year (4 consecutive, 12-week semesters). The part-time Miami Shores Advanced Standing Program gives you the advantage of beginning your studies in the fall or spring semester. If you enroll at the Palm Beach/Treasure Coast site, you will have the advantage of a Saturday class schedule, but must begin your studies in the fall semester.
