Advanced Standing Programs (32 credits)
- In order to be eligible for our MSW Advanced Standing 32 credit programs, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution. Your BSW must have been conferred within the past five years.
- Barry’s full-time Advanced Standing 32 credit MSW programs are extremely rigorous, incorporating clinical concentration courses in conjunction with a field education experience. Aside from completing an average of 16 credits over the course of 2 semesters, you are expected to complete a total of 672 hours of field education. Students choosing this option should expect to complete the MSW program in two consecutive semesters (approximately 7 months). This program is not recommended for prospective students that work upwards of 20 hours per week.
- Please note that BUSSW does not grant credit for life and/or work experience. All students must complete the field education criteria.
