Application Process
General Instructions for submitting an application
Please read through these instructions carefully prior to completing your application to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. You can apply online, download an application or request a paper application from the School of Social Work. Please print your name on all documents including checks and/or money orders. Once submitted, all credentials become the property of the University and cannot be returned.
In addition to the application, you will need to submit:
- the application fee
- official transcripts (transcripts must be sealed in order to be accepted)
- letters of recommendation
- three-page personal statement
- Criminal History Disclaimer / Core Performance Standards

Deadlines
The School of Social Works admits students in both the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Please see specifics below.
- Summer (May Enrollment) application deadline April 15th
- Fall (September enrollment) application deadline July 15th
- Spring (January Enrollment) application deadline December 10th
Miami Shores Campus
In the 60-credit MSW program, you may enroll full- or part-time in either the Fall or Spring semesters. In the Advanced Standing 32-credit program you may begin the full-time program in the fall, spring or summer semester and for the part-time program in the fall semester only.
Palm Beach/Treasure Coast Campus
You may enroll in the 60-credit program or the 32-credit, Advanced Standing program on a part-time basis in the fall semester only.
Fort Myers Campus
You may enroll in the part-time 60-credit program in the fall or the part-time or full-time Advanced Standing program in the summer and fall semesters.
