Student Activities & Organizations
Choices in activities and student organizations are numerous. You can work with the Habitat for Humanity chapter, join the SCUBA club, or engage in a debate on FTAA at a colloquia sponsored by an academic department.
You could host a show on Radio WBRY, take a salsa class, or go on a spiritual retreat. You can take a trip to Bayside Marketplace or join in the Festival of Nations. There's a very good chance you will find an organization or event that fits your interests (there are more than 75), but if you don't, you could petition to create a new one!
You can also seek membership in the Student Government Organization, giving you the opportunity to have an impact on policies within the University.
Student Union
Soon to be completed, the spacious new Student Union will house the Student Services Division as well as a new cafeteria and a new bookstore. This new building will even further enhance the capabilities of the Office of Student Activities to deliver exciting activities and support for student organizations.
