Housing
Living in Barry housing enhances your University experience. You will meet many people from different backgrounds and easily get involved in programs and activities that will complement your education.
More than just a place to live, your room or apartment will provide a place where college memories are made and where you can become a member of a community.
Staff in the Office of Residential Life will assist as you transition into college life. They are also there to help you and other residents develop a healthy, vibrant community in which involvement, leadership, and learning are natural components of your day-to-day life.
If you decide to live on campus, you will be housed in one of the eight Residence Halls or one of the apartments, houses, or Best Western rooms maintained by the University. All facilities are fully furnished and air-conditioned.
Your room will be wired with a ResNet connection (Internet access and network connectivity), enabling you to conveniently complete research and papers for classes. There is also a computer lab in Dalton-Dunspaugh (one of the residence halls), and the main computer lab is nearby in Garner Hall (one of the academic buildings).
There's no need to miss an episode of your favorite program; All rooms are also wired for cable TV. Laundry facilities are available in each residence hall and the Best Western. University houses have a washer and dryer. If you live in the Best Western, you will receive weekly linen and housekeeping services at no extra charge. All rooms have telephone connections, with free local telephone service.
