Graduating seniors to display art work at Monsignor William Barry Library

Barry University’s Fine Arts Department who will be exhibiting their work in the Monsignor William Barry Library, on Barry’s main campus in Miami Shores beginning April 25.

The exhibition will include work from the following graduating Art, Graphic Design and Photography majors:

Art: Serene Qadumm uses ink on paper to create intricate designs incorporating universal images and symbols that are inspired by American quilts as well as Middle Eastern needlework and jewelry reflecting her bicultural heritage and citizenship.

Graphic Design: Mario Amador, Nicole Guerrero, Katie Keenan, Chandon Pinney, Sara Porcase, James Scopetta and Josh Tremper are each presenting a final project focusing on a specific graphic design concept.

Photography: Bryan Brough combined photographs of faces with natural landscapes in the darkroom to create his final photo montages. Kelly Gavin has made recreations of 1960’s inspired baseball cards using her images of the Florida Marlins players. Keisha Joseph has documented local botanicals in 3D stereo, and Kelly Wolf is exhibiting environmental portraits using selective focus techniques.

The gallery will be open during the following hours:

Mondays - Thursdays 7:30 am to Midnight
Fridays - 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturdays - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sundays – 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The event is open to the public and the admission is free.
