GoBarryBucs.com Gets Make Over

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University Athletic Department, working in conjunction with the university’s web marketing team, has formally launched its newly redesigned athletic website: GoBarryBucs.com.

“Our newly-redesigned athletics website gives fans a great portal into Buccaneer Athletics,” sports information director Dennis Jezek, Jr., said. “The new design includes many new features, including social media integration, better navigation and tons more information.”

Numerous improvements have been made to the site, with easier navigation throughout the site, ability to access Buccaneer Athletics Social Media outlets on Facebook and Twitter, share news with automated integration with FaceBook, Google+ and Twitter, video and photo galleries (also integrated with social media sites), as well as expanded coverage from inside the teams with BucBlogs. Continual enhancements will be made to the site as GoBarryBucs.com looks to forge ahead on the forefront of web site technology.|

The Bucs also continue their partnership with Stretch Internet to provide streaming audio, video and live statistics of selected events.

“We are very excited that beginning this fall we will be video streaming all of our home contests in volleyball and basketball,” Jezek said. “We will also have live audio from soccer this fall, as well as video available on tape delay. It will be a wonderful opportunity for family, friends and alumni around the world to be able to watch us play. It will also be a great recruiting tool since many of the players we are recruiting don't always get a chance to see us play.”

Through the Stretch Internet portal on the main athletic webpage at www.barry.edu/athletics it will be available through virtually every platform imaginable - personal computers, tablets, iPhone, and other mobile devices that support Flash 10.1 or greater.

Also with the agreement, Buccaneer fans can sign up for eScores which will send information to your cell phone including scores, news, schedule updates and even promotional items about Barry athletics.

Information on how to sign up for E-Scores and the broadcast schedule will be distributed through the main athletic website (www.barry.edu/athletics) and through the Barry Athletics Facebook fan page (https://www.facebook.com/gobarrybucs).
