MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University acting women's golf coach Shannon Sykora announced the signing of junior champion Martina Bertuccioli. She will join the Buccaneers No. 3-ranked Division II program in the fall.
Bertuccioli, a native of Cordoba, Argentina, won the 2012 Cordoba Province Women's Championship.
"She's a great addition to our team," Sykora said. "She's a good student as well."
Bertuccioli is the eighth-ranked women's player in the country, according to the Argentina Golf Association. She finished second in a playoff after shooting 218 at the 54-hole 2010 American Junior Golf Association Coca Cola Junior Championships at Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, Mich.
"Martina's the type of player that can come in right away and make an impact," Sykora said. "She has a great work ethic, and she's improving every year."
