Street Outreach Program

Synopsis:
Funding is provided for street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth who have been subjected to, or are at risk of being subjected to, sexual abuse, prostitution, or sexual exploitation.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $200,000.

PRIVATE GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI)

Title:
2014 Professors Competition

Deadline:
June 4, 2013

Synopsis:
Applications will be accepted from scientist-educators with innovative ideas for transforming science education. Scientist-educators will be awarded to create activities that integrate their research with student learning in ways that enhance undergraduate students' understanding of science.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $1 million over 5 years.

Open Society Foundations (OSF) Fellowship

August 1, 2013

Synopsis:
The program seeks to fund work that will enrich public understanding of open society challenges and stimulate far-reaching conversations. Project themes should cut across at least two areas of interest such as human rights, government transparency, access to information and to justice, and the promotion of civil society and social inclusion.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $100,000 plus project expenses.
