Title:
Secondary Analyses of Alcohol and Chronic Disease (R03)

Synopsis:
Projects that will conduct secondary analyses of alcohol as it relates to chronic disease etiology and epidemiology are encouraged. The goal of this program is to facilitate innovative yet cost-effective research utilizing previously collected data.

Funding:
Award ceiling is $100,000 over two years.

PRIVATE GRANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Title:
Innovative Information Science Research Projects

Deadline:
September 15, 2013

Synopsis:
OCLC seeks research applications that promise to contribute to a better understanding of how the integration of new technologies affects user behavior and the information environment. Awards will fund research related but not limited to the impact of digital technology on libraries and museums, social media and information-seeking behavior, and new developments in knowledge organization such as metadata, social tagging, and linked data. Applicants must be a full-time academic faculty member in library or information science or a related field. Priority will be given to junior faculty.

Title:
Regional Grant Program

Deadline:

Synopsis:
The program funds community wellness initiatives that serve those most at risk for poor health - including low-income, underserved, and minority populations. Priority will be given to programs that focus on healthy food choices and physical activity through a racial and ethnic health equity lens. Proposals for programs that serve multiple Aetna priority locations are encouraged. Florida priority areas are Miami and Tampa.

Funding:
Award range is $25,000 to $40,000.
