Women's Golf Hosts Lady Bucs Invitational Monday-Tuesday

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. -- Barry University women's golf team will host the Lady Bucs Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Shula's Golf Club.

Ten teams, nine of which ranked in the nation's top 14 in the Golf World/Women's Golf Coaches Association poll, and 65 players make up the field to compete on the par-72, 6,045-yard course in the two-day, 54-hole tournament.

The Buccaneers, ranked No. 2 in the country, are hosting the tournament for the first time. Other teams participating include: No. 3 Florida Tech, No. 5 Rollins, No. 6 St. Edward's, No. 7 Flagler, No. 9 Cal Baptist, No. 11 Nova Southeastern, No. 12 Florida Southern and No. 14 Saint Leo. Individuals representing No. 1-ranked Lynn, Barry, Cal Baptist, Rollins and Johnson & Wales will also compete in the tournament. Florida Southern is bringing two teams. 

The tournament will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday with a scheduled 36 holes for the first day. The final round will be played Tuesday.
