Working with the Media to Enhance Barry’s Reputation

The Department of Marketing and Communications invites the Barry community to a training session, “Working with the Media to Enhance Barry’s Reputation.”

Date: Thursday, March 27
Time: Noon – 1:30 p.m.
Location: Gato Gallery

In this advanced, digital world, having a positive relationship with the media has proven to be increasingly constructive for any organization. With their almost instantaneous coverage, media outlets can help an organization advance their mission through positive and rewarding coverage.

This training session will:

  • Offer tips and techniques to help faculty and staff become comfortable speaking to journalists.
  • Educate the campus community about the importance of speaking to the media in an effort to share Barry’s positive stories among local and national communities
  • Share examples of Barry’s positive media coverage
  • Feature local journalists who will demonstrate how to best communicate with the media

Light refreshments will be served.
