HPLS adds new major in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology

The Barry University School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences is pleased to announce the addition of its newest degree program – The Bachelor of Science in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology.

If you are interested in combining your passion for sports, exercise and/or performance with an interest in psychology or business, then this major is perfect for you.

The Bachelor of Science in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology is one of only a few degree programs of its kind in the nation and the only one in Florida. With an undergraduate degree in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, you gain an understanding of the thought processes and attitudes of athletes and individuals involved in sport, exercise, and non-sport performance activities.

The curriculum includes many exciting and innovative courses in sport psychology, exercise psychology, psychology of Injury, and applied sport among others. The program consists of 17 SES Core Requirements and 28 credits from Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology.

The program includes two minor options to choose from, both of which complement the degree. Minor options are management, or psychology.
