Men's Tennis: Groetsch's Run Halted in Semifinals

SUMTER, S.C. – Barry University men’s tennis player Fabian Groetsch lost in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Small College Championships to Armstrong Atlantic’s Fernando Bogajo Friday.

The No. 2 seeded Groetsch, a senior from Nuremberg, Germany, fell 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, to his third-seeded opponent. He will play No. 4 seed Fernando Bogajo of Concordia (N.Y.), for third place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Groetsch, competing for the second time in his Barry career at the ITA fall championships, was one of eight region winners from around the country.
