Congratulations to Anesthesiology DNP student Ed Punzalan

The Anesthesiology department would like to congratulate Ed Punzalan, Barry University Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a Specialization in Anesthesiology student, for having his abstract titled, "Postoperative Monitoring of the Preterm Infant after Inguinal Hernia Repair" accepted for poster presentation. It will be presented at the Harvard Medical School / Boston Children’s Hospital Principles of Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care conference on May 8, 2015 in Boston, MA.

The abstract, part of his DNP Scholarly Project, aims to present recent evidence-based clinical guidance on how long to monitor the former preterm infant postoperatively who returns to hospital for inguinal hernia repair. Mr. Punzalan’s Scholarly Project mentors are Tony Umadhay, PhD, CRNA and Ed Czinn, MD.
