Barry University’s Anesthesiology programs received a $55,895 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) under the Nurse Anesthesia Traineeship Program. Under the direction of Dr. Jorge Valdes, DNP, CRNA, the grant will go toward students to assist with tuition, books and other expenses.
Since 2009, the Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship grant has provided anesthesiology students more than $276,000 in scholarship funds. All grant funds will be used to support programs for full-time students in the master’s or doctoral nurse anesthesia programs at Barry.
