Join South Florida Commuter Services for carpooling programs

Barry University has partnered with South Florida Commuter Services to provide students, faculty and staff with a carpooling program that not only helps the environment but also saves money. By sharing the ride with just one other person, you can cut your driving expenses in half. Imagine how much more you could save by adding more people to your carpool.

Other Benefits:

  • Barry University provides registered carpool groups with 22 preferential parking spaces by the Broad Center for the Performing Arts on the Miami Shores Campus
  • South Florida Commuter Services also provides registered carpool members the use of up to six free Emergency Ride Home Program taxi rides per year

Carpool Group Preferential Parking Regulations:

  • Must operate three or more days a week
  • Must consist of two or more individuals entering and parking at the Miami Shores campus
  • On days when the carpool does not operate, you are NOT eligible to use the preferential parking carpool spaces
  • Carpool vehicle must have a valid Barry University parking permit and an SFCS preferential parking permit visibly displayed
  • Only one preferential parking permit is given to each carpool group per semester (renewal required)
