Testing Emergency Alert Notification System

Testing Emergency Alert Notification System

The Department of Public Safety will be testing the phone, text and e-mail features of the University’s Emergency Alert Notification System on Friday, July 29th at 3:00 p.m. Please understand that this is a test.  Those who have provided their emergency contact information will receive text, phone and email alert messages.

Reminder to students, faculty, and staff

To assist with the immediate dissemination of official Barry University emergency announcements, you are encouraged to verify that your emergency contact information is up-to-date. List all your phone numbers (cell, work, home) that you would like to receive emergency voice notifications.

Students:

Update your information by logging into WebAdvisor. Click "Emergency Contact" Information under the Communication section, or login directly by clicking here.

NOTE: To ensure that you receive Barry’s emergency TEXT messages, you must select “Cell With Texting” (not just “Cell”). Provide additional email addresses (besides your Barry email), should you wish to receive emergency emails at these personal addresses.

Faculty and Staff:

Faculty and staff can visit Workday to update their information. Visit the link below for step-by-step instructions to access your worker profile page to view your contact information as well as the steps to add or change your contact information or emergency contact information

NOTE: To ensure that you receive Barry’s emergency TEXT messages, you must add a mobile phone number as one of your contact numbers.
